Design competition for the new DGC Ontario office space

The DGC Ontario office is looking for a new office space. This is an OPEN CALL for ALL Art Department members to design this new space. We're looking for Designers to create a dynamic space that caters to the needs of a professional office and reflects the environment in which we work.

The design should address a concept for public areas as well as dealing with the space planning requirements of a functioning office.

The winning Designer will be responsible for creating working drawings.

The winning Designer will be remunerated by the Guild.

THE SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process will include an ad hoc committee of the Executive Board, Caucus members and staff who will select a successful candidate.

You will be given a floor plan to work from when the building is determined.

Entries may be submitted on-line, by mail or on disc. Entries should include sample floorplans, concept sketches, renderings of typical areas under consideration (ie. foyer, boardroom, editing suite/viewing room, staff areas.)

The design concept should:

  • minimize environmental impact

  • be functionally efficient
  • be aesthetically pleasing
  • reflect the public brand of the Guild
  • reflect the unique membership of the Guild
  • reflect best value for money

  • Up to three (3) entries per individual or group will be accepted.
